Day1. Sucre – Tarabuco – Villa Serrano

After breakfast, we leave for our tour of the Che Guevara trail. Ernesto "Che" Guevara, commonly known as el Che or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist. A major figure of the Cuban Revolution, his stylized visage has become a ubiquitous countercultural symbol of rebellion and global insignia within popular culture.

As a result of his perceived martyrdom, poetic invocations for class struggle, and desire to create the consciousness of a "new man" driven by moral rather than material incentives, he has evolved into a quintessential icon of various leftist-inspired movements.

If we leave for our tour on a Sunday we can visit the famous market in Tarabuco - a colorful and vibrant open-air market. Many people wear traditional Yampara costumes, which not only preserve their identity but also advertise their location of origin within the area to others within the Tarabuco area. This first day of our tour brings us past the villages Zudañez and Tomina and we arrive in Villa Serrano at the end of the day.

Day2. Villa Serrano – La Higuera – Route du Che – Vallegrande

After breakfast, we leave for the village of La Higuera where Che died. We visit the museum and we go for a 3-hour walk to the “Quebrada del Yuro” which is the canyon where Che and his men were captured by the Bolivian army on the 8th of October 1967. We return to the village La Higuera from where we continue to Vallegrande where we spend the night.

Day3. Vallegrande – Santa Cruz

We start the day with a visit to the hospital “Nuestro Señor de Malta” on which grounds the small open-air laundry (“la Antigua Lavandería”) where Che’s body was put on a public show on a concrete slab is located. Later we visit the Vallegrande airport where the remains of the Che were discovered on the 29th of November 1997, and we also see the tomb of Tania the Guerrilla (Haydée Tamara Bunke Bíder) who played an important role in the Che’s campaign.

Our tours continues to the Fort Samaipata “El Fuerte de Samaipata” which was declared a cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 1998. Upon arrival, we leave on foot along with our local guide to discover the archaeological site. The ceremonial center of Samaipata is the most important pre-Hispanic work of South America and ancient cultures have carved figurines of animals (snakes and pumas), channels, and triangular niches on a stone block.

After this impressive visit, we continue to Santa Cruz where the rest of the day is free. End of our services
