Important

We would like to inform you that the following program description is an example. In accordance with your guide, you will decide on your itinerary, depending on the season, the climate, the migration of the animals, or simply your interests and wants. You decide how many hours you wish to trek per day, at your own rhythm. The program is completely unconstrained!

You also have several choices for the location of the camps; you can either walk all day, to get as deep as possible in the jungle, and install your camp in the evening or trek in the morning, put down your bags at a chosen campsite and walk from the camp in the afternoon, returning to the same place to spend the night.

1. Rurrenabaque – Selva (Jungle)

We leave Rurrenabaque around 08h30 by boat on the Beni River to the indigenous community of Tacana. If you are interested in living in the community we are welcome to visit and have lunch or even stay the entire day and spend the night. In this case, we can go fishing to see if we can catch dinner.

Maybe you even have the chance to participate in a party, a birthday, or a traditional event in the community – you will be welcomed with open arms. If you prefer to continue your trek we continue by going directly into the tropical forest where we discover the endemic flora and fauna. In the evening we will choose a suitable location to set up our camp and have dinner. Later we can go for a nightly walk to enjoy the sounds of the jungle and observe the nocturnal animals.

2. Selva (Jungle)

After breakfast, we leave for a long trek through the tropical forest and our guide will share his knowledge of the trees, medicinal plants, birds, and animals with us. With a little bit of luck, we might see wild pigs, tapirs, monkeys, snakes, etc. We have lunch and relax before continuing our trek. We might have the possibility to swim in a natural swimming pool. During dinner, we have the chance to share with our guide his experience of the fascinating environment and the different legends of the people of the forest.

3-6. Selva (Jungle)

After a hearty breakfast, we continue our trek deeper into the jungle to observe the flora and fauna and enjoy this fascinating environment. Because this part of the jungle is more remote and therefore little visited the chances of hearing and seeing animals are greater. The vastness of the jungle offers plenty of possibilities for a variety of routes.

7. Selva (Jungle) - Rurrenabaque

After breakfast, we leave to observe the birds and other animal species of the jungle before packing our bags to return to Rurrenabaque. By mid-afternoon, we arrive at the banks of the Beni River where a boat will be waiting to bring us to Rurrenabaque where the rest of the evening is free. End of our services
